Update and Baby @ 24 weeks.

Not much new. I am getting bigger faster with this pregnancy. Which I so anticipated. I had to buy maternity clothes way sooner too. I was eight months pregnant with Kaylee when I bought one maternity outfit, and the only reason I bought it was to have something nice to wear to church. Lucky I know but I didn't really look pregnant either. This time is a different story. The baby is doing good. He is starting to have some hard kicks lately. Which is good. I am feeling as good as I can. My headaches are for the most part a little bit better this pregnancy than with the last. But when I get them it is bad. I made a bigger baby purchase last week. With kaylee I borrowed a swing, so I don't have one. I found a graco swing regularly 80 dollars at Lewis for half off, plus I get a discount through my work so I had to buy it. I put it up already and my daughter just thinks it is the best toy ever. She is really good with it though. She will put her baby dolls in it and swing it softly. So I guess that is a good thing. Hopefully she stays nice and doesn't get rough after the baby comes.

We got her back in her big girl bed. Which she is doing really awesome. Out of the week she has been in it there has been one nite she came to our bed before 7 or 8 in the morning. I was actually at work that nite, she came to bed with daddy at like 4 am that nite, so he just put her in bed with him. Otherwise she comes at the earliest 7 but usually 8:30ish in the morning. I am glad it is going good with that subject, cause POTTY TRAINING is not going well at all. All you moms out there that have girls I need all the advice I can get. She thinks it is a game right now. We are so frustrated and I know that doesn't help. But I don't know what else to do. We tried panties with rubber pants, didn't bother her one bit to be wet. So we went to pull-ups. Now we go in the bathroom and strip down. I don't know what to do. I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! I have tried a treat, an m&m when she actually does something on the potty, now she thinks she gets one every time she sits on the potty. We do the big toilet with a little seat and without the little seat, and we have a little potty chair. Nothing is working. At daycare we think it is fun to go when another little girl goes and then when we get in there it is playtime. So I see it in her eyes as this is a fun game and not taking it seriously. She turned 2 in August, I know she is young but I would like her to be potty trained during the day by the time the baby gets here. But it isn't working. SO please any advice would be greatly appreciated. Other than that not much else happening in our world.

Baby at 24 weeks
Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Update and Baby at 23 weeks

Nothing new since my late last post. I think he has his days and nites mixed up. But I guess I have my days and nites mixed up too. Since I work nites. I guess we will hope he switches them after he is born. He is a mover when he is awake so that is good. Other than that not much else happening pregnancy wise. I am hoping to get rooms situated this weekend and get Kaylee back in her big girl bed. And hopefully find room for a x-mas tree. I also am hoping to get x-mas pics done of Kaylee before x-mas too. We will see. Haven't even started x-mas shopping yet either. Man am I a procrastinater. Hope everyone has a nice weekend and stays warm.

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.

Baby at 22 weeks.

First of all I know I missed a week. I am sorry. With the holidays and such I got busy. Plus we had a hospital visit inbetween. Nothing serious, more me being paranoid. I am freak with this pregnancy. I work on a Labor and Delivery Unit and see everything. So I think that makes it worse. I didn't stress and freat like this with Kaylee. Anyways nothing new to report. I am in the process of getting clothes ready to go through and getting rooms setup for kaylee and the baby. Slowly buying boy stuff. Other than that not much else going on right now in our lives.

Here is this last weeks baby info:
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Baby at 20 weeks.

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system। He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Yah!!!!!!!!! Half way mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pink or Blue

So today was the big day. Are you all as anxious as we were! Let's start with a few different views.

Here is a view of the baby's foot!

Here is a side profile! Anxiously waiting are you!

Another side profile just closer up! Am I driving anyone nuts yet!

So like I said my husband was positive it was a boy. He has called it a boy from day one. Which I thought was kinda ballsy. Because I didn't want him to get his hopes up so high that he was very disappointed. He told me that he would be disappointed for a short while but if it was another girl he was okay with that. The last two days we have asked Kaylee if she wants a baby brother or sister. Usually she will say whatever you said last. So this time she said baby brother. We asked brother or sister and then sister or brother and her response was baby brother both times. I don't know if she really knows what that means but it is cute that is for sure. Oh was I suppose to be announcing something. That is right I was going to announce if we will be keeping pink or buying blue!

Well the verdict is in and............................................................................................................................................................................................................

We will be buying BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Andrew Joseph aka AJ will be joining our family the end of March or very beginning of April. Let's just say that my husband is very happy. THe baby is doing very good. He is growing good. His arms and legs are actually 95%tile for his gestational age. My dr said that is tall. Well for those of you that don't know us well my husband is 6ft 4in, his older brother is 6ft 6in, his younger brother is 6ft 10in, his dad is his height and his mom is 5ft 8in. So nobody is short in his family. And Kaylee has always been 75%tile for her height. So now I get to go through all of kaylee's older clothes find the one's that I want for keepsakes and then find someone to buy them or take them to a consignment shop so we can start getting a blue wardrobe. So there you have it. The big news for the day!

Halloween 2008

Halloween 2008 Strawberry and carebear!

Baby at 19 weeks

Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

Baby at 18 weeks.

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

A week from today is all we have left. To find out the gender that is. I am about crawling out of my skin at this point. I want it to be here so bad. And to see the baby again is just as exciting. And then to know I am half way through this pregnancy. The anticipation is driving me nuts. I hope this week and weekend goes by fast.

Baby at 16 weeks and update.

So I missed a week. Sorry. It has been busy with work and finding time to sleep. I did have a dr's appt this week. Nothing exciting other than got to hear the heart beat of course. It was 174 at the last appointment and this week we were in the 150's. I was really surprised. Maybe there is something to the wives tale. Kaylee stayed high until she started running out of room. This one started out high but I am surprised we have gone down to 150 already. Who knows maybe it will be a boy. Hopefully for my husbands sake it is. He has said no matter what we get we are done. We will see when we find out what it is. He is positive it is a boy. Mainly cause I have been sicker with this pregnancy. Well I know that doesn't make a difference. And he thinks because I am so tired. Well let's see I have a 2 year old and work, kinda makes a difference. I can't just take a nap whenever I want like I did with the first one.

We had some issues with names. We have had a boy name picked out since we got married. So I wanted to pick a girl name. Well he wouldn't agree with me on one. One nite I was asking him about names. He said no to all of them. I said you have to like one. He said he didn't. I finally started to get frustrated and said you have to pick out a name. His response was "no I don't cause it is a boy" and "god wouldn't make me live with 3 women" I laughed in his face. I said just for that comment he probably will make you live with 3 women. So I narrowed it down to 2 names and told him you pick one now or I will pick one and you won't get a say in it at all. He finally picked one. MEN!

I am going to refrain from telling the name on here for now. We have told some people. It really isn't a secret I just want to wait and say the name when we find the gender out. Which will be Nov. 10th as long as this baby cooperates. So that is what has been going on lately. I am starting to feel it move more too. Which I am so relieved when I do feel it. But I guess before I right a book. Below is the weekly development so until next week.

Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

Baby at 14 weeks!

Yeah 2nd trimester!!!!!!

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

Baby at 13 weeks.

Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.

Baby Update

I had a dr appt yesterday. Everything is going good. The baby's heart rate was 174. I have my 20 week ultrasound scheduled. So hopefully the baby cooperates and on Nov 10th we will find out what we are having. Then I can either start going through all the stuff I saved from my daughter or start getting rid of all the stuff I saved and get boy stuff. And it will be hard to believe that the end of that week I will be half way through my pregnancy. It is going fast I think. I am sure there will come a point when it will drag. But anyways. Everything going good as of now.

Baby at 12 weeks

The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.

Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

Happy Birthday on the 11th

Happy Belated Birthday Grandpa L. Sorry we didn't get a wish to you yesterday. Kaylee was a sick little girl. Hope your day was as wonderful as could be during the week. We love you!

Baby at 11 weeks.

How your baby's growing:
Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

Baby Update!

We had our follow-up ultrasound yesterday. It was good. The baby's heart rate was 174 the first time she checked and 173 the second time. So that is alot better. The cutoff for to high is 180. They don't like to see it there or above. So it was probably cause it was an early ultrasound. So that was good to see. The ultrasound tech that did it this time was alot better. I told her I wasn't happy the last time. Cause she did it so fast we didn't hardly get to see the baby move. She checked alot more of the baby this time than the last gal did. Right at the end of it she switched to 3D but it didn't work cause the baby started moving. It slept through the first part. Go figure it didn't want us to see it 3D. So I am relieved. I have another appointment the end of the month. I will actually get to see my doctor. I have had to see her PA's cause our schedules don't mesh. So it will be nice to acutally get to see her. So everything is going good. I even think I feel it move already. I know it seems early but they did say since it is my second pregnancy that I know what to expect it to feel like. Unlike the first pregnancy. She did say I would possibly be able to feel it alot earlier than the last one. So that is cool. So that is what I got for updates. I will post my weekly development on thursday. Hope all have a good week. I work tonite thru thursday nite. Long week.

Baby's weekly development.

I am going to try something. Every week I get a email on growth and development of the baby. I thought you all would think it is neat to read the progress too. So hopefully I won't let you all down and keep you updated every week. It is interesting to read what is happening to this wonderful miracle.

What baby is doing at 10 weeks!
Though he's barely the size of a kumquat — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature.

He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy.

If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.

In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size — to nearly 3 inches.

Baby news!

I got a phone call from my docotors office yesterday. They have the perinatoligist read the ultrasounds. He recommended a follow-up ultrasound. The reason is the baby's heart rate was 181. My dr isn't worried. She attributes it to being early. But since they recommended it we are doing it. So monday morning we have another ultrasound. I am a little worried but I think it will be okay. When I was pregnant with my daughter I know in the beginning of my pregnancy her heart rate was 176 highest. As I got farther along it came down to the 140-150 range. So I guess we will see what happens on Monday.

Big News!

So I feel I can tell everyone now. We are announcing it at Kaylee's b-day party later today. So I think it is safe to put it on here now too. I don't think anyone will see my family or friends before 5pm to spoil the surprise. I told you awhile back that there was big news. So here it is;

We are having our second baby. I am 9weeks along. We had an ultrasound on Kaylee's actual b-day on Thurs. I know I have posted anything about that either. I haven't been feeling the greatest to sit and do this. But everything looks good. The heart rate was 180 and the baby looks good. Even though it still is in alien stage. I will have another ultrasound at 20 weeks. Other than not feeling the greatest I am doing good. I wasn't sick feeling like this with Kaylee. My husband thinks that means his boy. I guess we will see. I put a baby timer on my blog but it is at the bottom I couldn't get it to fit at the top right. So that is the big news in our household. And we have a terrible two year old. I don't know what it is but her b-day a switch turned on to extrememly naughty. I hope it is short lived. I will post more of her b-day and how we announced it after the party.

Busy Busy Busy

So the next week is going to be so so busy I think I will probably end up losing my mind. I can see it already. I work the next four nites in a row. Have one nite off then work Wed nite. When I get off work Thursday morning I don't get to go home and sleep I get to stay awake for 2 doctor appointments in the morning. Then I still don't get to go home and go to sleep. I have to find time to spare until the afternoon until another appointment. I then get to go home and by then I will probably crash. Then Friday and Saturday I will be getting ready for Kaylee's b-day party. I am getting excited for that though. So that is what is upcoming for us. If I don't get any posting the next week that is why. I will for sure post after the party.

Weekend recap

So I have alot of pics to post. I will have to make a slide show for that. And make it a separate post. This weekend was the 125th centennial for our town. Plus every 4th of July is the fire departments street dance. So thurs nite was the street dance. I haven't been able to participate in that for 3 years with working and being pregnant. So I have stayed the last 3 years. So I was glad I didn't have to worry about working this weekend. Mike is on the fire department so he has to help with the dance. Since we have been together we sit at the gait and put on bracelets for the dance. So that is what we did this year too. Mike's brother and his wife and kids camped out in our back yard this weekend. So they were here too. I did wander throughout the nite. Friday was a kids parade. Some of the kids joined in on that. We kinda hung out the rest of the day. That nite was the fireworks display. My husband lights off the fireworks in the town display every year too. So he was doing that. My mother and father in law were here during the day Friday and Saturday. After the display we shot off fireworks in our back yard. Then to bed for all. They had a tribute band playing that nite but we decided to stay home. Saturday was the big town parade. They had a wild west reenactment come. That was really neat to watch. They had this drum band play, they are from soo foo. They are called Su Fu Du. They were fun to watch. Then a car show. I know this is kinda a rambled post. That is how the weekend went too. After the car show a tour of the school. Then naps for everyone. Supper, then karaoke for the adults. Today lunch and reclaiming my house back. We don't ever have company at our house let alone for 4 days and 3 nites, I am glad to have my house back. Don't get me wrong I am glad that everyone came to our house for a change. None of our vehicles left town all weekend. But when your not use to people in your house and people here it is an adjustment. I was starting to get snippy yesterday. So I am glad to say the weekend is over and we get our house back to just the 3 of us. I am glad this isn't a yearly thing. I honestly do not know how my mother in law does it. Although she does have a bigger house. Which would have maybe made a big difference. So that was what our weekend consisted of. I hope everyone had a good fourth and weekend. I will get a slide show of pics either later tonite or tomorrow posted.

So True

I know 2 posts in one day. I couldn't resist these though.

Rules of South Dakota

Rules of SOUTH DAKOTA
1. Pull your droopy pants up. You look like an idiot.
2. Let's get this straight; it's called a 'gravel road.' I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you're going to get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way.
3. They are cattle. That's what they smell like to you. They smell like money to us. Get over it. Don't like it? I-90 goes east and west. I-29 goes north and south. Pick one.
4. So you have a $60,000 car. We're impressed. We have $250,000 combines that are driven only 3 weeks a year.
5. So every person in every pickup waves. It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.
6. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of ducks are coming in, we WILL shoot it out of your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time.
7. Yeah, we eat South Dakota roast beef, pork chops & corn on the cob. You really want sushi & caviar? It's available at the corner bait shop.
8. The 'Opener' refers to the first day of pheasant season and the first day of deer season. It's a religious holiday.
9. We open doors for women. That is applied to all women, regardless of age.
10. No, there's no 'vegetarian special' on the menu. Order steak. Or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham & turkey.
11. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup!!
12. You bring 'coke' into my house, it better be brown, wet, and served over ice. You bring 'Mary Jane' into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.
13. College and high school basketball is as important here as the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch.
14. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards -- it spooks the fish.
15. Colleges? Try South Dakota State, University Of South Dakota, or Northern State College. They come outta there with an education plus a love for God and country, and they still wave at passing pickups when they come for the holidays.
16. We have lots of folks in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, so 'Don't Mess with South Dakota'. If you do, you will get whipped by the best.South Dakota is the greatest state ever!!If you are from South Dakota, you are one bad hombre!!!If you do not repost this, you are not a true South Dakotan!!!!!

So this weekend didn't pan out like I had in my mind. First off I worked thursday nite. So I got off work Friday morning at 6am. Had to go to a safety thing for work. So I got home about 8am. Then I made a special gift for a coworker. She had her baby that nite at work. Then I think it was 9:30am when I finally laid down to get some sleep. I slept until about noon. Picked up kaylee, after getting ready, from the neighbors. She is my backup daycare. Off to my husband's work. There got a chip fixed in the windshield in the van. Then me and Kaylee were off to go see the new baby. The gal I work with that is, they have a little girl that is 6 days older than Kaylee. But she wasn't there. After visiting for awhile we left and went to Walmart for some shopping.
Saturday my plan was to get caught up on laundry. I had put a load in the washer and was checking email. I went back to see if my clothes in the dryer was dry. Well now mind you I feel very sheepish about this. The washer wasn't running. I opened the lid thinking it was broke. Our water lines are really small. So the rinse cycle took a little longer to run water in. Well I thought it wasn't working at all. I turned it to different cycles and it would spin. So I called my mom. Her brother has an appliance store, that she works at. She told me they had a washer for us. So then I called my husband and was telling him what was going on. While on the phone with him I was back looking at the washer. I shut the lid and low and behold it started running. Dummy me, it was unbalanced. I forgot that it stops when it gets unbalanced. Which for an old set is pretty good. So they we weren't going to get the new one, but my mom convinced me to get a new pair. It was a good deal, my uncle would take our old set in on trade and he would drive from Madison to Centerville to fix them if something happened. So we got my brother in law to help us, by using his pickup for the trip. We loaded them up and got our first new set of washer and dryer. The old set was in the house when mike moved in. Which was over 10 years ago. We did find out that our old set wasn't probably running the most accurate. The new set is awesome. We got a Whi*rlpool. So anyways that is what we ended up doing on Saturday.
Sunday we had a family reunion. After coming home I decided it was time to take Kaylee to the pool for the first time this summer. She was ready to just jump in when we got there. We got in and she fell in and under. Then we were scared. It took a little while but then we tried again. As long as I was right behind her she was okay. Then eventually I was just along side her. She was loving it. She did swallow her fair share of water. But for the most part liked it alot. If you ask her she went wimming. So that was our weekend in a nut shell. Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

Imagine 6-7-08

So I know it has been almost 2 weeks since this happened. But here it is. I was not impressed with the carnival and food. But let me tell you Rascal Flats made up for everything else. It was awesome.

Old news

So it has been awhile since I just posted happenings. Well I am hoping that that will get alot better after yesterday. Here is why. We finally got our tax incentive check last friday. My husband told me like 3 months ago that you are going to buy a new computer with that. For one if he didn't want to spend money on something like that he should never have said it. So yesterday I got my new computer. I didn't get a desktop. I got a laptop. So far I love it. Right now I am sitting in my comfortable chair in the living room typing this. It is also nice cause as most of you know we live in a single wide trailor(HAHA)so the living room is in the front of the house. Where our desktop is is in the back of the house where you can't see what is going on outside. SO that is a nice thing too. So this new computer also runs really fast. That was one of my other reasonings for not posting as much, I was using my moms desktop and for some reason her's runs terrible slow. So now I won't get so frustrated when trying to post something. So that is one thing I have new to tell.

Oh yes this is going to be a long post, I gots lots more to tell.

In april my little brother and his fiance got married. They just did a little wedding, they would like to renew their vows in a year. They originally were going to get married in July but a little bundle got in the way. She would have been due the day before the date the had originally set. So they went to the justice of peace and then had a nice reception with family and friends. So now I have an offical new sister-in-law. I really had considered her that before then. There baby is due the
10th of July but I don't think that she will see that date. They are having another boy.

My other brother and his girlfriend got engaged too. The day we went to the zoo, that nite he asked her to marry him. They will probably show up one day married. He doesn't like big groups of people ohing and awing over him. And doesn't like 20 questions. SO I can see him doing that. Not a big deal. They are the ones that have the little precious girl that was born on my 30th b-day.

So now they stuff that I have failed to get posted about us. We now our the owners of a van. I say we are now like everyone our age, I am a soccer mom. The reason I say that is because of what we use to drive. We were considered ol folks before. We use to have a Buick Park Avenue. Our banker when we bought the car asked us why we wanted to buy an ol farts car. So we found a really good deal on a nice van so now we are in the right age bracket.

So that is the oldest news that I haven't gotten posted lately. I will try to get some pics of things here in the next few days if not today.

Long time again. Sorry!

It has yet again been a long time since I have posted anything. I am sorry! Alot has been going on. My husband had a birthday a couple weeks ago. We didn't do anything spectacular. We had a few friends over for burgers on the grill. The weather didn't really cooperate for what I had been thinking. But that is the downfall to living in this wonderful state. You can never trust the weather. What else? I did the kingswood rummages. I picked the day it started to snow to go. I worked nites the nite before and thought that morning I was a ravishing lunatic to be doing this. But I wasn't the only one out there. I couldn't believe all the people I was seeing out in that crappy weather too. I ended up with alot of stuff though. I came home with a heaping garbage bag full of clothes for my daughter and an umbrella stroller. I made my neighbor jealous. She couldn't believe I found all the stuff I did. But I am all about finding good stuff at rummages for my daughter. I made a hauling last year. I have missed a few city wide one's I went to last year and got alot at. But that is okay. I have the rest of the summer yet. That is if the weather lets us have a summer. Lately I have wondered that.

Kaylee is growing so fast. She is a talking queen. Some days all I can do is laugh and then cry. She comes up with different statements that just make you laugh cause they are so cute and then you want to cry cause it seems like just yesterday she was a baby. I have lots of pics to post. I will try to do that later. One of her favorite things to play with lately is a swiffer duster. I love it. She walks around the house with that saying "I cean I cean", I hope she says and does that still when she is a teenager. We were outside the other day and she was sweeping the alley. I know, there is a cement pad behind our garage and then the alley. Well she started on the cement pad and then ended up in the alley. But her comment the whole time was again I cean momma I cean!

Another big event in our fam is my little brother got married. It was a simple family affair. With renewal of vows in a year. So not anything big at this time. Which is okay.

There has been a few b-days in the mix too. My nephew had his 4th b-day. We went to Chucky Cheese for that. I have decided that that is just a big pot of germs waiting to affect it's next child. That week after Kaylee ended up with pink eye, which in turn she shared it with me. She got it in one eye but shared it with me in both. Fun stuff. I am 30 yrs old and that was the first time I have had pink eye. First time for everything. In my last post we had alot of illness. Well that lasted a month at our house. Then I had a break for about 2 wks. Friday I went to work starting with a cough, I left half way through my shift. I was miserable. Saturday I went to acute care. Bronchitis! Saturday nite and all day sunday I was about in tears from the pain in my ribs and chest from coughing so much. Monday I wasn't a hundred percent, but thought I was getting a little better. I am done with the antibiotics but still sound horrible. I am still coughing. I am extremely congested in my head, my right ear is plugged. But they can't give me anything else. I am so sick of this. I am hoping now that the weather is starting to look like maybe the weather is going to get nice out.The illness will get better.

So that is what has been going on in our lives lately. I am sure I have forgotten some stuff. I am hoping in the next few weeks I will have purchased a new computer. As soon as we get our extra tax money we are getting a new computer. So that will help immensely with posting more often. The computer I have now is so slow that I get frustrated and give up. So anyways that is all for now. Will post pics later.

Sick of Sickness

Okay I want a show of hands! Who is so sick of this weather we are having? I know I sure am. Kaylee started with croup on thurs last week. It then turned into the worst head and chest cold she has ever had. Last nite I went to work for about 45 min. then they sent me home. I didn't feel the greatest when I left, and when I got to work I got really crappy. I started temping. So now I have a head cold, that I got from my daughter. So we are a pair today. She is getting better but slowly. I blame this dang weather we are having. I wished it would just knock it off and start getting warm out so we can open windows and air it out. I am so sick of sickness!

So have I totally gone overboard with the post today or what. I know terrible. See now this is where you would think I would get the clue as to posting more than once a month and having to post so much it makes my head spin. But like I said slow computer and life gets in the way of that.

Kaylee once again has a wonderful viral infection. This time it is Croup! YA! I was up for over 30 hours yesterday. I worked Wed nite. Mike called at 3:30 to tell me Kaylee was sick. I left work at 4am thinking I will go home and get some sleep before she gets up. So I could take her to the dr. Well when I got home at 5am guess who was up. She didn't go to sleep until 3:30 that afternoon. Needless to say I didn't go to work Thurs nite either. She is better today. So that is good.

Tomorrow is our 5th anniversary. I cannot believe that it has been 5 years and because of leap year it is 5 years to the day. Kinda neat. We are going out for dinner tomorrow to our for special occasions only resteraunt. Lone Star. It has been a year since we have been there. So looking foward to that.

Other than that we have been busy busy busy busy! Sorry to bomb bard with all the post in one day. Have a good weekend.

Alive?

Yes I am still alive. I know I am terrible at keeping my blog updated. One reason is my computer right now, is extremely slow. It is my moms, I am using it so I can download pics off my camera. My computer is old enough that it won't take my camera info cause it is too new. So I guess I need to look into investing in a new computer. Cause my mom is going to want this one back eventually. Another reason for not posting in a long while is life. It has gotten in the way lately. How dare it do that, doesn't it know how important blogger world is. I do read everyone's blogs I just haven't been able to comment or post on my own. So I am going to make a vailiant effort to at least try to blog once a week. I know you all thinking ya right she has said that before. So I will try.

These pics are from christmas. I know kinda old. But cute. She has a way of making any bad day go away.

Your Candy Heart Says "Marry Me"

For you, love is serious business. You don't take dating lightly.
And even if you haven't met the right person, getting married is something you expect to do soon.

Your ideal Valentine's Day date: a romantic picnic in the park

Your flirting style: subtle and calculating

What turns you off: short term flings

Why you're hot: you're a hopeless romantic with each new relationship

Update

So I never really knew how much moms give up when it comes to there kids. With Kaylee being sick I guess I wasn't sleeping as good as I thought. Especially after we found out what she had. Friday she was 50% better. Saturday she was 50% better than Friday. Sunday, I woke up and went out to the living room it looked like a tornado went through it. Guess who was feeling 125% better. My living room is scattered with books and toys. Which is a good thing. I work this weekend. Friday nite when I got to work I didn't realize how exhausted I really was. I thought I was going to collapse when I got there. I wanted to go to work but I didn't. I needed to go to work that is for sure. So when people say their kids are their life, believe you me that is 100% true. I sacrificed my sleep and exhaustion to get her healthy. And I wouldn't do it any different next time too.

Horrible week

Monday:

Started off okay nothing out of the ordinary. I read blogs I know I have been terrible at posting and commenting. Read email. Now I need you all who read this to please go the the below link before reading the whole post. Got this email from a relative.

http://www.dearallofyou.com/sacredheart/sacredheartvideo.html

Made an awesome supper. Roast, carrots, potates, homeade buns. The works. My husband had a city council meeting that nite. Kaylee had a normal day. Played all day, got into everything she shouldn't be in. Mike got home about 10 to 6. I had just changed kaylee's pants and she started to not feel good. She started getting warm. Sat down to eat, Kaylee was shivering. So gave her some motrin. Sat in the recliner with her while mike ate. He got done and went to shower. I checked her temp. 100. Fifteen minutes later 101. Within 20 minutes she was that high already. Something told me we should head to SF to acute care.(which is 40 miles from us) Told mike that we shouldn't wait til morining. By this time she is moaning and grunt breathing. She does that when she gets really sick. So we get in the car stop at city hall to tell them Mike isn't going to be there. Get on the road. I call acute care to make sure they are open til 9. Then call my daycare gal(she seen us at city hall). Called a friend of ours cause her little guy was sick. Wondering what kind of symptoms he was having. Okay we get on the interstate. From our exit it goes Viborg, Fairview, Davis/Hurley, Canton, Worthing, Lennox/Parker, then tea exits then sioux falls. Okay the Vibrog exit I notice kaylee isn't moaning anymore. I look down, I know I was being very illegial by holding her, her eyes are in the back of her head. She is now seizing. I am rubbing her chest vigourously to get her to cry or make any noise to know she is breathing. NOTHING! I start giving her breaths, cause I am not seeing her take any. Mike is driving 109 and on the phone with Canton dispatch. I don't know how many breaths I gave her, finally I got her to make a faint moan. So from then til the Lennox/Parker exit I kept rubbing her vigourously to keep her making noise or crying. Cause as long as she was doing either I knew she was breathing. We met an ambulance at the Lennox/Parker exit. In the ER check her temp, 105.6. In an hour we went from 101 to 105 explains the febrile seizure. They did blood work, chest x-ray, influenza and RSV test. Everything came back normal. Watch her fever and follow up with your doctor in a couple of days. FRUSTRATING! Wed we went to the doctor. All the same tests done again. Chest x-ray showed pneumonia. Then yesterday they called and said she has RSV too. Antibiotics yah! Treatable is good. This is the first time in her life she has had an illness that was treatable with anitbiotics and not viral and it had to run it's course. Last nite she was miserable. Today feeling better. Mom and Dad are stressed beyond words. I know I kinda shortened it a bit, but you would be reading for hours if I put every little detail in. I think this gets the point across.

Now back to the link. I read that email that morning. Remember I said something was pushing me to take her to acute care and not wait. Well I now know it was the lord helping me up out of that recliner to tell my husband we are going. It was the lord sitting in the car with us, keeping me calm enough to not panic and give her breaths and to keep her crying. It was him who kept all that EMT training in the back of my mind, that helped get her to cry again, even though I really don't know how my brain functioned that whole 4 minutes from the time she started til the ambulance met us. But he knew he was there holding my hands making them do what they needed to do, he was the one making my mind think and do the things I was taught even though I don't know how. It was him. Monday nite was a nite I will never forget. You always hear people tell of experiences when they have felt the lords presence. I can now say I know what that feels like. And I will never forget it. I am now going to try and be the best christian I can be, cause the Lord has proven his love to me by helping me and loving me enough to make his presence known. I know it is late. But if you all who read this would please say a little prayer for my daughter that this illness get over quickly I would greatly appriciate it. I will update you as to how the weekend goes. Again thank you for all of you who prayer for her.

(Sorry if things aren't spelled right, spell check isn't working)

The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man.

I am going to try to do a daily quote post. Maybe it will help me try to be a better poster. Since it has been 20 days since my last post. So hopefully it will work. I had a painful weekend. I kinda forgot how to walk Friday nite. I twisted my ankle on uneven sidewalk in front of our cafe. Well I started falling but kept walking trying to get myself upright. Ya did not happen. Instead of falling on my hands and knees I decided that I was going to do a belly flop on the cement. I had my left arm bent up under me. I felt something pop in my lower back. I was horrified, embarrassed to say the least. My friend was behind me carrying my daughter thank god for that. It took me a minute to try to get up. My husband came out to help me get up. We went into the cafe, my pant leg was wet from snow, but I couldn't figure out why the inside of my coat sleeve was all wet. I took off my coat and there was blood all over my arm. I had a hole in my elbow. So guess where we got to go. We went to acute care and got stitches that nite. After we got home my ankle started to hurt really bad. So I was a hurting unit all weekend. I will post some pics of my stitched up owey, as my daughter says every time she looks at my elbow. And maybe a little more detail. I have to get ready for work. SO anyways, PLEASE everyone be safe walking. I would hate to see somebody else to get hurt. It is not fun.
